Temperatures have risen the last couple of weeks. Work is hard on the coffee fields these days. We took Thursday and Friday off to get involved in Easter rituals at our local catholic parish. Today is Holy Saturday and soon we will have the San Isidro Labrador parade here in Downtown San Marcos. The prunning stage is reaching its end. Those of us who has just finished are gathering the coffee branches and bringing them to our homes for cooking and stoves during the rainy season.
I can't wait for the rains. I just love to see the rain fall and the smell of the wet soil that accompany the first rainstorms. For those of you who can travel, It is really nice to be in our valley these days.
