How many of you know about coffee varieties? Perhaps you have hear about terms like Arabica and Robusta. Well, for us coffee farmers dedicated to cultivating one of the most sought after coffees in the world, Costa Rica coffee from a valley named Tarrazu, the choice is reduced to just one: Arabica. There are certaintly some Arabica subvarieties with its own cup properties. At our Don Evelio Estate, we only grow the Caturra variety and the taller, older variety called ¨arabigo.¨ In the next postings I am going to talk about them. Please stay tuned.
